Papers, 1676, 1847-1939.

Primarily letters written to Trumbull while he was in Westport and Hartford, Connecticut, from family members in Stonington. These include his mother Sarah Trumbull, his father Gurdon Trumbull, and his siblings Mary, Anna, Henry C. and Charles E. Trumbull. Several May 1848 letters from his mother mention an outbreak of smallpox. Several folders of notes include historical notes and essays, Indian language comparisons, and lists of books either for his research or in his own library. Also includes art work attributed to and correspondence of his daughter Anna Trumbull, a letter from and a memorial to his brother Charles E. Trumbull, and some historical documents, most notably a 1676 deed.
